Forge your own healing sound vessel within the landscape of Occitania – in the Valley of the Vézère nicknamed the Valley of mankind containing the ancient the caves with the 17000 year old cave paintings

During this six day immersion, we connect deeply with this land and walk in the footsteps of those who knew how to live in harmonic resonance with the Earth, following her rhythms and energetic pathways, co-creating and living in cosmic alignment with stars and land.

While we work on a healing sound instrument, we will also go out to meet ancient sites – including one of the caves with the ancient bison cave paintings, the powerful enlivening meeting place of two major rivers, and old towns with markets and traces of ancient pathways.
The copper will be our companion throughout in its capacity to conduct, facilitate meeting and embodying that which comes from Earth and stars and integrate the ancient wisdom energies into a sounding vessel to carry into the Future.

The land

This area of the wider Occitania is also known for its presence of the Cathars in the middle ages – carrying a similar flame of living in harmonic resonance, as well as many other layers of powerful history of ancient Europe.

The region is known as Périgord noir, named after the black truffles found there and is part of the wider Dordogne area. Not far the two large rivers Dordogne and Vézère meet – bringing big flow and energy into the area.
The ‘Zezere valley of mankind’ with the caves containing 17000 year old Bison cave paintings is less than 20 km from our base.


Forging a Copper based instrument in this land

The Alchemy of the forge invites a deep co-creation with the energies of land, space, time, nature and all the elements.

So forging an instrument in this land that carries the ancient imprints of deep wisdom and connection, you can invite this frequency to become part of your singingbowl.

We have chosen to make this retreat six days long, so that there is enough time to both be immersed in the alchemical forging of of an instrument as well as be able to move out into the region to visit the special places, connect the trails of the ancients, enjoy the current vibe of people, markets, medievil towns and nature and alchemise all these experiences into your singingbowl

Forging a Copper based instrument in this land

Through sound forging we have come to know copper as a material that always opens us to greater relationship with other beings.

As a metal and as an element it is copper that connects and carries us through the different stages of forging and crafting the sound that will come to emerge.

The singing bowl or bell you are invited to forge over these five days will be from one of the copper alloys – brass or bronze with their brightness expressed in different ways, or pure copper with it’s warmth and softness, always inviting us to lean closer into our native connection with so many elements of life here on Earth.

Each of the metals brings forth a sounding instrument that will carry a frequency that arises through your forging process – in a sense, a tonal arrangement of sounds that can assist and accompany you in support of your life.

Our venue and accomodation

Our base will be at Lesco del pont a holiday village within the village of Trémolat, – named after the echo of the bridge. The village of Tremolat is in the big bend of one of the big rivers.
Lesco del Pont offers us various gites, small houses with mostly shared twin bedrooms – unless requested otherwise – and a communal space by the pool, where our workshop , gathering and eating will be based.
We have invited a local chef to create beautiful organic local food for us.

  • The facilitation of the whole 6 days,
  • The singingbowl forging instructions
  • Guided tours to special places
  • Accommodation and meals on site
  • Transport to special sites

Not included:

  • Meals out while on an outing
  • Metal for your singingbowl: Estimated between 15 – 50 euros depending on size , thickness and type of metal you choose
  • Entrance fees to the cave and possibly museum
  • Single supplement for single room: extra €250

Pickup and return from/to the airport can be arranged for a small fee if you arrive/ leave within a time window we will  determine for the start/end of the workshop.

The nearest airport to Tremolat is Bergerac.
We will arrange pick up during the day on the 12th trying to accommodate as many as possible in one pick up. Similarly we will create one return journey to the airport on Friday 18th
