The beauty and deep peace of Portugal seeps through every aspect of this venue – a perfect landing place to bring a hand forged sound and healing instrument into form.

Special summer days of sound immersion in central Portugal, just one hour from Porto Airport in the lush and water rich region of Sao Pedro do Sul.

Quinta da Galega – overlit by majestic Cork oak grandmother trees, where the water of the natural pool balances the fire of the forge and the sun, olive and orange groves offering shade and quietude.

All elements present and alive for the co-creation with metal and forge and for replenishment of life force and joyful reconnection with Nature, land and cosmos.

This is an invitation to a co-creative process of alchemy, the fusion of fire with metal, with place, with nature, with your own dreaming and creative soul while being guided and held by the sweetness and beauty of this noble Quinta.

Five days of transformative crafting, magical sounds and personal deepening within the incredibly relaxing and revitalising environment of Quinta da Galega.

The forging of your own healing instrument will be interspersed with visits to the pool, intuitive attunement and connection with Nature through the incredible tree beings on the land. . .

Along with the rich craft of forging comes a deepening into co-creation, taking a walk along the river, writing, drawing, journaling (bring what you need), celebratory organic meals, circle space with sharing, teachings and stories and possibly an outing to a special place in the area.



The Alchemical Forge

A unique and life changing encounter with sound and the alchemies of the forge.

The crafting of an instrument offers a beautiful deepening of your own relationship with the elements of creation.

A space for entering into a deeply engaging and peace making process as you bring a unique range of sound frequencies into form through your own body and soul.

The singing bowl or bell you’ll be forging over these days will be from one of the copper alloys – brass or bronze with their brightness expressed in different ways, or pure copper with it’s warmth and softness.

Each of the metals creates an instrument that has its own character, unique to your process and engagement. In a sense, a beauty of form and tone that can assist and accompany you in support of your life.

    This amount includes: facilitation, tuition and support, transformative sound experiences, delicious meals at the venue, and the beautiful spaces that form the social fabric of Quinta da Galega.

    Not included: transport to and from the venue: a pickup from Porto airport can be arranged: €115 = €29 if shared by four and less if shared by more.  The metal for your choice of instrument: cost depends on your choice of metal, size, thickness etc. usually between €15 -€65
