Who We Are

We came together through the many rich strands that have formed a tapestry . . .  one that includes the whispers of the leaves and grasses and the tidal shifts of a planet in stupendous transition. Our dedication is to contribute to greater coherence and harmony through sharing our own gifts and developed skills with others.

We feel this project, Resounding Earth, to be a continually evolving story that invites the luminous and ethereal nature of the cosmos to meet us fully and bring greater wonder to the material world.

We are both the forgers and the forged, midwives and artisans, in collaboration with a continuing joyful co-creation with each other, nature and the weaving and crafting of sounds.

It is alchemy.

In the year 2000 Gabriella lived in a small community project in the north of Scotland, growing a garden for a small retreat house in co-creation with nature. Some very strong encounters with the spirits of land and trees, the Mystery School of the landscape and a message from a mountain, who asked her to ‘play for us’ caused her to shift focus.Co-creating with nature expanded from creating a garden to a way of life and specifically allowing sound / song and music to come through her as a voice for the Earth.

Thus began a deep commitment to co-creating vibrational fields of sound and frequency that would facilitate more coherence, love and harmony in the world.

‘I found a way to share music that was more and more co-created with the beings of nature that would not only assist humans who heard it to access a deeper part of their own remembering of their essence, Source and connectedness, but also weave vibrational fields of coherence that facilitated harmonic frequency shifts towards greater harmony on many subtle levels. ‘

Thus begun a period of ‘work’ with sound and song in co-creation with nature – working and travelling as a Peace-troubadour through many countries – creating shifts, healing and vibrational harmonic fields of coherence with land, people and places.

On one of those travels in 2003 Gabriella met Ton Akkermans, a master blacksmith/coppersmith, who spoke about the forging of singing bowls and metal healing sound instruments.

Heather is a woman, a mother, a creative, a sensitive and a listener with the soul of an artist, the body of a healer and the heart of an ancient earth keeper. Born and raised in urban Australia in the 60’s Heather was given many opportunities for specialized learning and travel. She was gifted in music and a classical tradition became the foundation of her early professional life – violin, chamber music, orchestras, travel, music as a living art form that has the capacity to move people and create harmony and movement.

Following a meeting with a destiny point she had a powerful and spontaneous awakening experience into a dormant aspect of her soul and a shock wave catalysed change in every way. Her life since then has been curated through the deeper awareness and trust in a dance that is greater than the one she would have envisaged for herself. This is one lived in co-creation with the Earth as a partner carrying a constant invitation to each person to come into a true relationship with themselves and with Nature.

For Heather this deep thrum impulses her in all things and brings the unifying energy in her music, her sound weavings, her food creation, her one to one listening, her sense of relationship with all things, her circle facilitation and holding and the co-creative partnership of Resounding Earth.

Resounding Earth is a collaboration with Gabriella, with Nature and with our shared sensitivities and joys that brings fine frequencies and sound instruments into being through coppersmithing and forging alchemies, group ceremony, community coherence, healing and wellness. Through sound weavings, workshops and special events that have been offered live through Europe and the UK for more than 15 years and internationally through recordings and online offerings. This is a project of co-creation and love that continues to bring hand forged and crafted sound to the greater field for healing and reconnection to wholeness, to peace and its possibilities.

At the heart of everything that moves through Heather’s hands and heart is a deep and honouring response to purity, one that offers strength and beauty, honesty and wisdom through curiosity and trust. Trusting the process and the dance she feels privileged to dance.

Heather has lived for more than 35 years in the northern hemisphere, predominantly the UK, and is currently blessed by the land that is Portugal. Her heart creates a living bridge across many lands, especially to the country of her birth where the deep listening of the Aboriginal peoples calls her to find home wherever she is.
