Enter into the beauty of the space of Quinta da Galega – overlit by majestic Cork oak grandmother trees, where the water of the natural pool balances the fire of the forge and the sun, olive and orange groves offering shade and quietude – a space on top of a hill – contained yet open – all elements and nature present and alive for the co-creation with metal and forge and for replenishment of life force and joyful reconnection with Nature, land and cosmos.

This is not only a technical encounter with the process of forging but an invitation to allow yourself to be in a co-creative process of alchemical fusion with metal, with place, with nature, with your own dreaming and creative soul while being guided and held by the sweetness and beauty of this noble Quinta.

This Five Day Summer Well-being Retreat in Combination with the Alchemical Forge is promising to be a very special event,
where uplifting beauty, joyful transformative crafting and magical deepening can occur within this incredibly relaxing and revitalising environment of Quinta da Galega.

The forging of your own healing instrument will be interspersed with visits to the pool, intuitive attunement and connection with Nature through the incredible tree beings on the land. . .

Along with the rich craft of forging comes a deepening into co-creation, taking a walk along the river, writing, drawing, journaling (bring what you need), celebratory organic meals, circle space with sharing, teachings and stories and possibly an outing to a special place in the area.

To forge an instrument if to bring into form a sounding instrument to support your life, to honour your ancestral connections and to offer the future a tonal frequency that will continue long years from now.

 

This is where awe meets the possible.

This is resonance.

This is healing and it is beautiful.

This is body and soul crafting.

This is the alchemy of being both the forger and the forged.

 

The direction and impulse lives through your own heart song and intentional prayer as it aligns to the deep song of the Earth’s own current and thrum.

 


Through sound forging we have come to know copper as a material that always opens us to greater relationship with other beings.

As a metal and as an element it is copper that connects and carries us through the different stages of forging and crafting the sound that will come to emerge.

The singing bowl or bell you are invited to forge over these three days will be from one of the copper alloys – brass or bronze with their brightness expressed in different ways, or pure copper with it’s warmth and softness, always inviting us to lean closer into our native connection with so many elements of life here on Earth.

Each of the metals brings forth a sounding instrument that will carry a frequency that arises through your forging process – in a sense, a tonal arrangement of sounds that can assist and accompany you in support of your life.

    Contribution for the Retreat: from €1475 to €1550  depending on your accommodation choices

    This amount includes all tuition for singing bowl forging, circle space, sound, delicious meals.

    Not included: – transport to and from the venue: we can arrange pickup from Porto airport: €115 = €29 if shared by four and less if shared by more – metal for your choice of instrument depends on what you choose re type of metal, size, thickness etc. usually between €15 -€65

    We are Gabriella Kapfer and Heather Cowen and have been co-creating for more than fifteen beauty filled and rich years.
    Our energies weave a finely balanced offering of sonic gifts for healing and transformative processes in many aspects of life.
    Through our Sound Forging workshops and our Sound Weaving sessions we are blessed to travel widely to co-create and align with Nature’s frequencies, clearing and opening to greater connection and communion for those who are present physically and in the non-physical realms.
